About the Founder
It all started in 2021, when I picked up a guitar and began exploring the delicate beauty of fingerstyle playing. Around the same time, the harmonium, an instrument that had always been close to me because of my father’s orchestra, pulled me deeper into the world of Indian classical music. What began as casual practice soon turned into passion, and music became my constant companion. My name is Sahil, and I created SargamWorld as a free platform for music enthusiasts, especially beginners, to explore Indian classical music and learn instruments. I hope this platform helps you connect with and enjoy the beauty of music.
Our Mission
Our goal is simple: to make learning music easier, more enjoyable, and accessible to everyone, whether you’re just starting out or already on an advanced journey. With SargamWorld, we're trying to blend the beauty of tradition with the ease of modern tools, sharing notations, practice guides, and little resources that make learning music feel simple and fun, no matter where you are. And we’re just getting started! We’ll keep bringing in new stuff to learn and explore, so your musical journey always feels fresh and exciting.
The Story
This platform began as a personal notebook of notations and musical ideas, something created simply to help in daily practice. But as I shared with friends and professionals, it grew into something bigger. What started as a small personal effort has now become SargamWorld, a space where learners, teachers, and enthusiasts can explore the beauty of raags, taals, and theory together. It’s built with the same passion I feel whenever I sit down with my instruments or listen to a classical performance.
